Often people find it difficult to lose weight despite getting involved in rigorous exercising programs or dieting. If you’re one of those people, we have listed some easy strategies to achieve your weight loss goals. Among these strategies are some helpful tricks or diet hacks that take little effort, but may help you achieve significant results!
1. Eat Fruits and Nuts Between Meals
Often we feel hungry between meals and want to have something that is easily available and will also create some sense of satiety to diminish our hunger pangs.
A sausage, hot dog or a pizza are some of the fast foods that first come in our minds… But, think for a second option before you eat these fattening foods. You can substitute these meals with an apple and some nuts. Apples has chemical called pectin which gives you a full feeling and thus you can stay without having anything else for a longer period of time.
Apples are good for your health so having one or two apples a day will give you added health benefits. Nuts are also a good option and as they are filled with protein, so consuming nuts will make you feel full while helping you retain lean muscle mass.
You can also have other fruits of your choice. Having fruits and nuts between meals will help you stay away from junk food along with giving you some health benefits.
2. Drink Lemonade Early in the Morning
Having lemonade in the morning is the fastest way to lose weight. Squeeze half a lemon in ¾ glass of luke warm water. Gulp it first in the morning before having anything else.
Lemons contain hesperidin which is a citrus flavonoid that may not only offer some protection against the early stages of diabetes, but may also help to prevent bone loss. What’s more is that some research suggest that hesperidin helps to normalize adiponectin levels, a hormone responsible for fat loss.
Another key hormone in obesity research is adiponectin. Adiponectin reduces inflammation, insulin resistance, and lowers serum carbohydrate and lipid levels. It’s hypothesized to be the link between obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome since adiponectin levels are lower throughout the day in those with abdominal obesity.
You can have lemonade in the evening as well but do not have it more than twice in a day. It is also suggested that after having lemonade in the morning, eat something light within one hour. This will prevent any acidity formation in the stomach. Also remember to use organic lemons, since sugar-loaded lemonade beverages don’t count!
3. Climb Stairs
Climbing stairs is the easiest way to exercise to lose weight. You cannot ask for a better or a faster way to lose weight other than this method. You can climb stairs in the morning or in the evening. You can also do this exercise one and half hour after lunch/dinner.
For those of us who work in buildings with more than one level, use the stairs instead of taking the elevator.
4. Avoid Junk Food Completely
You must avoid junk food completely if you want to lose weight fast–this means NO cheat days! Keep some healthy snacks handy and when you feel hungry have them instead of a burger or a packet of chips. You can keep fruits or high fiber vegetables with you and whenever you feel hungry just have them. You can also have some juice but do not add sugar in it.
5. Don’t Eat Bread
Just don’t do it… period.
