6 Foods for Fast Weight Loss Diets

Did you know that there are foods that can actually help you lose weight? Well, it may sound strange, but while you are trying to lose weight you still need to eat food, otherwise the body does not process correctly, and there are specific types of food that are much better for you than others. In this guide, we will explore just six of the best foods that you can eat when you are trying to lose weight.

1. Fruits and Vegetables

It may not surprise you that fruits and vegetables are in the list, but hardly any of us understands why, or knows any of the facts surrounding why fruits and vegetables are great for the body. One of the most amazing facts you need to know about fruits and vegetables is that your body burns 16% more calories if you exercise after eating a meal that consists of eating raw fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C ‘flush’ fats out of the body, and it is essential that you consume these fruits and vegetables raw because preparing them in any other way reduces their potential benefits.

Apples are a terrific fruit to aid weight loss. The pectin found in the apples allows the body to ‘release’ fat. Various studies have shown, people who eat an apple before each meal can lose up to 33% more weight than those that do not.

Avocados are also a great fruit because of the sugars they contain. These sugars help lower your insulin levels, which stops your body from storing fat.

2. Oatmeal

A breakfast favourite for many, oatmeal is a great food to aid weight loss. Oatmeal is full of fiber, which decrease your body’s appetite. If you eat oatmeal about an hour or so before a workout then you will feel more energised for your workout, which will allow you to burn more energy.

Like oatmeal, nuts contain a lot of fiber, which is great to prevent hunger. Apart from this, in nuts you will also find protein (and lots of it) and omega 3, both of which help you burn fat quicker. However, make sure you only eat raw nuts and not packaged because the later contains plenty of salt, which is not great for weight loss.

One of the best nuts that you can eat is the Brazil nut as it has what is needed to keep the body full of thyroid hormones, which help keep your body’s metabolism high. A high metabolism helps your body burn off additional fat during exercise.

4. Fish

The most ‘popular’ fish eaten in households are all great for aiding weight loss. Tuna, Salmon and Sardines allow Leptin (a fat burning hormone) to become ‘more active’ in the body. Leptin (like fiber) stops your body from ‘craving’ food. Leptin is also the hormone which decides if you store the calories (which will cause weight gain), or if you ‘use’ the calories for energy (which will burn them).

5. Organic Beef

A little known fact about organic beef is that it contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which, even though CLA is itself a fat, it helps you burn off other fats. Various tests have shown that people who consume CLA will lose weight, even if they do not make any changes to the way that they live.

6. Starch (Resistant)

Starch is another fibre which (as we know by now) is an appetite suppressant. However, these types of starches (found in bananas, potatoes and whole grain among others) have been proven to allow your body to burn in the region of 25% more body fat during exercise. This type of starch also prevents your body from storing fat, which will prevent you from putting on ‘un-necessary’ weight.

As you can see from the above, there are plenty of foods that you can eat in order to aid weight loss, and without a doubt if you choose these foods (in place of your regular diet) then you will get to your target weight much quicker than if you ignore the above.     This is great info! I feel like if I ate an avocado before working out I could literally get the best of all kinds of worlds.

    I always knew that veggies were good, but to hear that they are this good for weight loss is really great.

    Every food on that list is perfect. The biggest problem i can see is sticking to just those foods. Most people, including me, are addicted to western sugars and fats. Great post

    Yes I am also agree with you that diet is very important factor that matters a lot. Doing weight loss it doesn’t means that you should start starving. In weight loss you need lot of fiber to consume and protein . So have these food.

    Taking the right food is the right thing to do. There are weight loss process that works for everybody specially the natural weight loss process. Balance diet as well as good exercise are both effective to anyone.
