An Alternative To Caffeine-Loaded Workout Supplements

One of the biggest drawbacks of pre-workout supplements is the amount of caffeine they contain. With large amounts of caffeine comes a number of drawbacks, including anxiety, tremors and even fatigue. There are a large number of pre-workout supplement products on the market today, and most of them are heavily infused with caffeine.

How Much Caffeine Is Too Much?

Most of the workout supplements that I researched disguise the exact amounts of their active ingredients by using the term “proprietary blend”. They do this to prevent competitors from copying their ingredient formulas. But this is not good for consumers. Fortunately, many brands have begun disclosing the amount of caffeine content in their formulas. With many of these products above delivering 300 milligrams of caffeine per serving, users need to be very cautious.

Many people consume other highly caffeinated products such as coffee, tea, soda, and energy drinks throughout the day, often on same days that they take these supplements. Consumers need to use caution and be aware of their daily caffeine intake using these workout supplements.

The Science Behind Assault

MusclePharm Assault delivers a huge punch without all the caffeine. Assault contains only 125 milligrams of caffeine per serving – the same as in a cup of drip coffee.  Assault uses a new product, Con-Cret, a blend of pure creatine hydrochloride that has been shown to limit side effects of bloating and other gastro-intestinal issues like cramping.

Assault also contains a bunch of tried and true pre-workout supplement ingredients like l-glutamate, l-aspartic acid, citrulline malate, beta alanine, and astragin (a patented ginseng extract).

assault has a proprietary blend… that means it’s all filler and no killer my friend… there is no reason (NONE) to have a proprietary blend of known ingredients other than to mask how little of each active ingredient is actually in the supplement…
