When it comes to keeping a celebrity body fit and trim, there is one Hollywood trainer that is often called upon. Blake Lively, along with the Green Lantern Star, Ryan Reynolds, enlisted the help of Bobby Strom to whip them into superhero shape. Now, the celebrity trainer has come forward with the diet that he put Blake Lively on.

According to the details that Strom released, both Lively and Reynolds were on a very strict diet in order to pull off their superhero looks. This diet is not your usual fare when thinking about dieting and exercising. Much of the nutrition came from porridge, flaxseed, and almond milk.

Strom not only designed the strict diet plan, but he also became the personal chef for both of the stars. Lively, best known for her role on the CW’s Gossip Girl also had to go through a tough exercise regimen in order to stay strong for the long hours on the set and the demands of her role.

The diet started first thing in the morning with oatmeal. For lunch, Strom would prepare the Green Lantern stars with protein heavy foods like chicken or tuna. At dinner time the menu included more protein with some sweet potato or brown rice for a variation. An advocate of strong personal coaching, Strom did not limit the two’s personal life, but did insist on staying away from alcohol and getting adequate rest.

In order to combat the boredom of the diet, Strom would change some of the protein sources and add fresh fruits to the oatmeal in the morning. Many celebrities realize the image that they must have in order to continue in the business. Because of this, they continue to enlist the help of personal trainers, coaches, and chefs like Strom. Blake Lively is not the first to benefit from the training and diet she endured for the movie. Other starts like Britney Spears and Scarlett Johansson have also benefited from the training they had with Strom.

Exercise is also a part of what Strom feels creates that powerful look and muscular body found within superhero movies. A big believer in circuit training, Strom put both Lively through a tough circuit which he believes is, “the most effective way to change your body.” This is because of the burst of energy that is needed to get through the circuit. The entire body is working not just one part at a time.

The exercise and diet that Blake Lively endured at the hands of Strom certainly did its part in helping her whip her body into one that would make most superhero’s envious. Because of this, the movie has more realism and she was able to endure the grueling days without problems. Even if you are not a celebrity, you can learn a valuable lesson in this. Regular exercise, and a protein rich diet – without a lot of alcohol, or sweets – will get you into tremendous shape.

    Blake Lively already has gorgeous body for starters so the training strengthened her body and made it healthier to endure the grueling demand of the movie. She’s gorgeous in the movie I must say!
