You’re doing everything right. Working out, eating right, getting enough sleep and keeping stress under controlâ€¦so why are you not seeing the changes in your body that you are working so hard to achieve? How do you bust through this darn plateau? Thatâ€™s a good questions and I am here to give you some tips to help you move past this stage in the game.
You have to keep your body guessing to help avoid the dreaded plateaus. If you are working on making changes you are bound to hit one at some point.
Tips to Overcome Weight Loss Plateaus
~ Clean up your diet. This is not the time for cheat meals. Write down what you are eating and make sure that it is in line with your food plan. If you are in line with your food plan maybe itâ€™s time for a change.
~ Make sure that you are putting that food fuel in your body every 2.5 â€“ 3 hours. Donâ€™t skip meals. Plan your day out so that your are prepared for anything.
~ If weight loss is your goal increase your time or frequency on the cardio machines. If you always use the treadmill switch to a cardio class or ride a bike.
~ If you are always at the gym, your body may need a break. You could be burnt out from the gym and your body could be telling you to step back and take a break.
~ Track your progress. This will make it easier to see what works for you and where you may need to place more attention to reach your goals.
