    While I wholeheartedly agree with the above suggestions, there is another activity that I would suggest to retirees[I am 70 myself]. Try mastering ‘WordPress’ blog building platform and build yourself a little ‘blog’, either on an interest or, like mine above, to build an ‘authority site’. The Internet is by no means the preserve of the young and a lot of the disciplines, software etc. need common sense only. In addition you have life’s rich experience to call on!
    This activity will continue to stretch your mental faculties and thus prevent ‘senile decay!’
