Google’s Top Five Trending Diets

New diets are invented quite regularly. Some will work, some are not very effective and others will not work at all. Whether they work or not, diets are still very popular. This is also shown by the fact that a staggering 30,400,000 people have conducted a Google search for the word ‘diet’. But what diet is most popular this month?

Let’s have a look at the five biggest increases in Google diet searches compared to the previous month.

The Body Reset Diet Review

1. The body reset diet. Increase in searches: +1200%

The body reset diet is an invention from personal trainer Harley Pasternak. With this diet there are three phases that consist of five days each. In phase one you need to blend fruits and vegetables three times a day. For breakfast there is a white smoothie, for lunch a red smoothie and for dinner a green one. In between the meals you are allowed to eat crunchy snacks.

This combination will give you fiber, healthy fats and proteins. In the second phase one smoothie needs to be replaced by solid meals such as sushi, stir fries, sandwiches or salads. In the third phase you’ll eat one smoothie and two solid meals per day. There are also specific exercises that need to be performed during the three phases of the diet. His book ‘the body reset diet’ was released on March 12th.


2. The overnight diet. Increase in searches: +800%

The overnight diet is an invention from nutrition and weight expert Caroline Apovian. Her diet is divided into two parts. She advises to eat high protein meals for six days and on the seventh day you replace your three meals with three smoothies. The healthy food plan is built around proteins like eggs, fish and meat so that the muscles in your body are nourished. Controversially, she advises to sleep a lot during the diet. The combination of sleep and diet reduces the production of insulin so that you actually slim down while sleeping. Apovian promises dieters will lose nine pounds in one week. The book was released on April 9th.


3. The Gwyneth Paltrow diet. Increase in searches: +200%

On April 2nd, Gwyneth Paltrow’s book “It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy, Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great” was released. The book contains 185 recipes that come with plenty of restrictions based on the elimination diet. The dishes in her book are sugar-free, vegetarian, non-alcoholic, wheat free and non-dairy.

Paltrow started the elimination diet after it was prescribed to her by her doctor, following problems with stress and anemia. She says that following the diet has helped her to feel and look great.


4. The Garcinia Cambogia diet. Increase in searches: +110%

Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit that grows in South Asia. Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz strongly recommends the pill as a revolutionary fat-burner that will also make you feel more energized. Maybe Dr. Mehmet Oz doesn’t ring a bell at first but he is the doctor that often appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show.

In an episode from January in his own show ‘the doctor Oz show’ he lets his viewers in on his ‘secret to lose fat without extra dieting and exercising’. He explained that Garcinia Cambogia makes your body burn fat and sugar in a safe and natural way.


5. The Dolce Diet. +90%

The basis idea behind the Dolce diet is that you eat less processed foods and more foods that grow from the earth, like fruit and vegetables. Sugary drinks and foods are to be avoided. Where other diets often focus on a diet plan, Dolce advises his readers to simply eat when hungry. He advises to begin the day with a glass of water to get the digestive system going. The book contains a list of foods that everyone should have in their kitchens and there are recipes for healthy and easy to prepare meals.

    well I wouldn’t like to cook. I like baked chicken,baked potato corn on the cob grilled salmon is good also frozen veggie in the supermarket and we should make our own fruit juice even three days for the week.
