How a Nutritional Body Detox Helps Promote Healthy Weight Loss Fast

It’s no secret that we live in a toxic world. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat – even the furniture we sit on is laden with toxic chemicals. Over the past few decades, we’ve used herbicides and pesticides to grow our food. Little did we know it would deplete our soils of the essential nutrients our body needs on a daily basis. Even organic foods grown today are not as nutritionally sound as they were 50 years ago.

Environmental toxicity is no secret, but its long-term health effects are not widely known or discussed in many circles. Scientists recently discovered that environmental toxins may be the underlying cause of the obesity epidemic in America. Dr. Mark Hyman discusses the issue in depth in an article published in the Huffington post. When toxins enter your body, your body produces fat and water to envelope those toxins and stores them away inside your fat cells to prevent them from doing long-term damage to your organs. In short, fat is the body’s defense mechanism against toxicity. As Dr. Hyman claims, this isn’t widely publicized, because it’s not something you can treat or cure with a drug – and drug treatments are how the pharmaceutical industry makes a profit and stays in business.

Dieting vs Cleansing
The difference between traditional dieting and nutritional cleansing.

So if fat is the body’s defense mechanism against environmental toxicity, wouldn’t it make sense that a body detox or body cleanse could make you lose fat? Actually, it makes perfect sense, which is why there are so many methods of detoxification on the market today. Cleansing the body’s major filters means ridding them of toxins, and when the toxins are gone, the fat storage is no longer necessary. There are several ways to cleanse the body naturally:

  1. Drink lots of water. Everyone should drink at least half of their body weight in ounces of water a day. Drinking a tall glass of water early in the morning, before ingesting food, also helps to cleanse the body and promote natural, healthy weight loss. Filtered water is best, since it is not laden with chemicals.
  2. Eat organic. Eating organic foods diminishes your chances of coming into contact wit harmful pesticides, herbicides and other toxins found in most food sources today. Organic fruits and vegetables are packed with antioxidants and nutrients that the body craves.
  3. Eat cleansing foods. Believe it or not, there are certain foods that help cleanse the body’s vital organs. In addition to eating organic, make sure these foods become a priority in your diet: apples, avocados, beets, blueberries, cabbage, celery, cranberries, flax seeds, garlic, grapefruit, kale and lemons.
  4. Supplement your diet. Nutritional supplements help you get the nutrients that your body may be lacking. Since our food sources are nutritionally depleted, it is doubtful that you’ll get all of the nutrients your body needs in a normal diet. You may not even get them all in a healthy diet. Supplements are essential if you’re going to get all of the 90 essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids that the body needs daily.

The power of whole food nutrition is underestimated in our highly medicated society, but, when it comes to toxicity, food really is the best medicine. Many people lose weight on a traditional diet, but that weight likely consists of body fat, as well as lean muscle mass and lean tissue. A cleansing diet promotes healthy loss of body fat, and can even help you build more lean tissue if you supplement it with regular exercise.

This may surprise you but instead of going through all the trouble and discomfort of
getting a colonic to clean you out just get a Hand Held Bidet Sprayer. That’s
right, because not only does it provide superior hygiene but you can use it to
shoot a blast of water up the pipes to really get cleaned it out. Fast and convenient and so refreshing, it really feels great! See

You can grow fully nutritionally complete organic foods at home; the best thing to do is get volcanic minerals. I’m not connected to Seer, but I bought their rockdust after hearing about it from the Organic Gardeners Association and I can vouch for having *massive* veg yields much like you can see in their video at I’m sure similar rockdust products are available in the States and elsewhere. Yes, you’ll still need to detox because of environmental pollution but at least you can cut out a lot of the toxicity that comes from industrial farming methods.

Selwa, you might want to mention that consuming flax seeds is useless unless they are ground, as they will otherwise just pass through your system, giving you no health benefits at all.
