The Better Business Bureau is a trusted site where consumers can go to register complaints, check out businesses, or view accredited business listings. Here consumers will find reviews, statistics, and other complaints in regards to a particular business.

In addition to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, consumers have an additional outlet to relay their frustration with a company. There are numerous complaint websites on the Internet where consumers can warn others about a bad product or company. These websites can also be directed to social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, where consumers can add their own experiences. In addition to warning other consumers, the complaint websites also have tools that invite the business to respond to the complaint and try to rectify the situation. No longer does the consumer have to wait for days to hear a response via mail or telephone. The Internet has given them a voice to air their grievances and notify others of any wrong doings, especially when the product is hazardous to an individual’s health.
