Non-Invasive Ways to Reduce Fat

Many are looking for ways to lose those extra pounds, but are nervous about surgical methods of fat removal and worry about related costs. This is understandable, as there are a number of inherent risks associated with such medical procedures as liposuction and other modern surgical options.

However, there are alternative methods of eliminating excess fat that require no incisions and provide welcome results. These non-invasive options are effective for a number of patients, helping them to realize a new, slimmer version of themselves without going under the knife.

Exercise and Diet to Reduce Fat

A regular exercise routine coupled with proper nutrition can naturally reduce excess body fat. Aerobic activity in combination with weight training several times a week on a consistent basis will result in a sleeker look. However, food intake must be monitored as well to trim excess weight.

Fat intake must be reduced, while small meals throughout the day will increase metabolism, allowing for quicker burning of excess fat. Complex carbohydrate and increased water intake will assist with the fat burning process as well. Muscle mass will build with additional protein intake, and may result in related weight gain due to the fact that muscle weighs more than fat. Benefits include a healthier body and improved emotional well-being.

Zerona Cold Laser Therapy Review

The Zerona laser has been shown to reduce fat in selected problem areas, including the neck, arms, hips, stomach and more. Unlike surgery, which requires a lengthy recovery period, cold laser treatment requires no recovery time whatsoever. Patients may resume their normal lifestyle quickly as each treatment ends, making this alternative all the more attractive to those with active lifestyles. As an additional positive, patients do not have to worry about any scarring that may occur during the process. Combined with proper diet and exercise, treated patients are seeing further positive results.

How Does the Zerona Laser Work?

In the process of laser fat reduction, a cold laser works to focus laser light into fat cells. Fat is released through the cell wall and is liquefied. This fluid is then naturally deleted from the body through the detoxification process. The procedure is considered to be painless and requires no more than a few treatments on either side of the patient target area. The low levels of laser light utilized are said to be relaxing and even soothing for patients. Some even report feelings of psychological well-being as a result of the procedure.

Cold laser treatments represent a relatively new method of fat removal for those that have tried other techniques. Media attention has been positive, as well as reviews by patients who have undergone treatment. Physician approval is recommended before one undergoes laser fat reduction as it is not for people with major medical concerns.

For those looking for a new noninvasive proven method to trim down, cold laser treatments may provide the long-awaited answer they seek.

I recently started doing Dazzle Light. I posted the website for those who don’t know what it is. ( ). I have tried a bunch of different treatments. Zerona worked a little bit but not enough for the cost. I tried a couple of treatments with the laser paddles like ilipo and Lapex but they were uncomfortable and even less worth the cost in my opinion. In total with all three things  I lost about 7 inches total over the first six months of 2012. (my big new years resolution) All and all I must admit I lost inches faster than I ever did dieting and exercising. And without the tedious routines that make it harder to be a mom than it already is. I went three times a week typically but still it beats the heck out of gym runs and shakes that taste like surgery chalk and vitamins.
This year i went looking for something better than said treatments, and I was also looking to get some expert help on the lines and wrinkles starting to make a home on my once young face. I inquired at the spa that I usually do facials and laser treatments. They said they had recently brought a new product in that had a two inch guarantee on the first treatment. OMG! Had to try it. So I started in the second week of January and went 6 times for 1 hour. I lost 3-1/4 inches in the first session and by week 3 on my sixth treatment I lost a total of 14 -1/2 inches off my waist hips and upper thighs. My energy was up my appetite was down and I felt sexy! (no lie).
When I started they asked me if I was going to do facial treatments and I declined. But when I saw the inches fall off I had to try it. This time it was
easier to convince my hubby it was worth the money. (love you Robert!) After 2 -1/2 weeks and 6 fifteen min treatments later I was even more surprised by this simple looking panel of red light. The lines on my face have faded significantly and my chin no longer has a ring line under it. The line I have had for 8 years since my last heavy prego days! One thing that they did not tell me would happen, was the improvement of the skin on my chest just above my breasts. I have had significant sun damage over the years and tried every cream and peel out there no matter what the cost, to make this area look younger and tighter. The skin is tighter and spots from sun damage have faded. I no longer get that elongated cleavage up my chest when I fold my arms and it’s unbelievable. Sorry to go on and on but I  had to share this. It’s a pretty new product from what I understand, but it’s worth looking for if you are like me and don’t want to have to get plastic surgery. Thanks for listening ciao. – Johana

I was looking into getting this treatment, but after doing some research, it seems that you need to stay away from refined grains (white bread, etc.) Fact is that if you ate healthy and exercise regularly, why on God’s earth would you need to even undergo this laser? I lost 20lbs just by eating right (I’ve been eating refined gains, oops! lol) The true problem is that most people don’t know how to eat right. Why doesn’t the FDA ban white bread?Think about how many times you have eaten it and how you crave it like its a drug! Now how do we fix that?

I went through 9 sessions of Zerona Laser at a Plastic surgeon’s office in Palo Alto, CA. The nine sessions were performed over a 4 week period and cost me $2500. The doctor seemed nice, or as far as I could tell from the three minutes he spent with me. The treatments were performed by two RNs and each 40 minute session I saw them for about a total of 5 minutes to set up the machine on each side of me. I was extremely careful as to what I ate and drank. I stayed away from the “white” foods (flour, sugar, pasta, etc.) and drank only water (lots and lots of it). No soda, alcoholic beverages, etc. Nothing but water. I took the supplement and did the body massages that they suggested. When it was all said and done I had gained one pound. The nurse weighed and measured me after the sixth and ninth sessions and at the end she said I had lost one inch from my waist, 0.8 inch from my hips and 1.5 inches from my bust. Even though she told me that I had lost those inches I really couldn’t see the loss or feel it much in my clothes. To sum things up if I had it to do all over again, I WOULDN’T. The results did not equal the cost. If it was offered to me at or under $1000 for the same number of sessions I might consider it but $2500 was way too expensive for what I got.

Hi all, Don’t bother with Zerona. I got a discount deal from Wagjag – 3 sessions for $199.

After my first Zerona treatment the lady said I have lost 1/2″. When I measured myself later that night I didn’t lose an inch. I went again the next day and my measurements were the same that night. I didn’t even bother with the 3rd session.

I was suppose to pay $2,300.00 for 9 session – but I cancelled my third sessin and told them I am not coming back. Because I had already paid for the 3 sessions and I didn’t committ yet to paying for the next nine they didn’t get an extra dime out of me.

The medical studies show that you must complete  the entire course of 8-9 sessions to get the optimal results. They claim that the “hole” created in the fat cells must be kept open by getting laser every 48 hours or 3 times a week for the maximum results. The study I saw showed the best results after session 3.   The fat slowly leaks out of the fat cells over time and goes into the area around cells initially  which is why you may have seen little to no change in circumference of your waist.  It takes time for this fat to be absorbed into the bloodstream and cleared by the liver.  I recommend reading the clinical studies on it as it is fully explained. You also need to do everything they tell you- like taking supplements, exercising to increase blood flow to the area and assist in removal of the released fat, and drink 8 glasses of water a day, again to help flush out the fat that has escaped from the targeted adipose.

Don’t do it! They give you a free session and take before and after measurements… Take your own measurements and don’t listen to what they tell you!!! The place I went to tries to sell you different session packages. In my opinion, IT IS A SCAM!!!! I read some reviews on the internet that said it didn’t work for them, but I thought if Dr. Oz and the Doctors had this on, it must work. In my opinion, IT DOESN’T. SAVE YOUR MONEY (over 1,800 dollars for 6 sessions)!!!! My measurements and theirs were different. I tried on a skin tight pair of pants before my first session. During this time I was going, they kept telling me I lost inches. Funny how my skin tight pair of pants were still skin tight…. My measurements weren’t the same as theirs. They did give me some free sessions after my 6 that I paid for. It still didn’t work which I already had figured it wouldn’t. The computer was down on my last visit to weigh me so I didn’t even bother w/their measurements. SAVE YOUR MONEY! If they tell you to do a detox or a cleanse which is also reducing your calorie intake, just do that at home. Look up on the internet (lemons, maple syrup, water, etc…..that’s what this place recommended – don’t forget their supplement which they want you to pay for). If you lose 10 pounds shouldn’t you lose inches? Save your money and reduce your calories. I called to see if I could get some of my money back. I left a message and never did get a return call back or a partial refund.

Nothing can beat regular exercise when it comes to reducing fat from any part of the body.

Finishing last of nine treatments on Friday. I’ve been dieting and exercising along with this and to tell you the truth I don’t feel Zerona did anything except smooth the skin. The Dr. never took any measurements on me so how can they even tell if there is a difference? I think the Zerona is going to go by the way side but dr’s need to get their money back for the investment made buying the laser. The money would have been better spent stocking my freezer with healthy fish and vegetables.

I completely agree with you. I’ve purchased some discounted vouchers online for 6 laser fat reduction sessions. On my first session I experienced a burning sensation which was uncomfortable, almost unbearable. The lady who was doing it (by the way she was not a doctor and was quite chubby) earlier joked about the fat being cooked, so I thought it was normal to feel such an uncomfortable heat on my skin. A couple of hours later when I was home there was water blisters on my skin where I did the laser. 2 weeks after I still have the black spots/marks left on my tummy and thighs. I haven’t undergone the other sessions yet and am very anxious about what this might have caused to the cells under my skin.
Did anyone have experience this (having water blisters on the treated areas) before?

I tried out this system but was not impressed with the results in my patients. I have since switched to vibrational liposuction with Tickle Lipo. It’s as minimally invasive as you can get and still get real instantaneous results.

These lasers were created by dentists, receiving extensive clinical trials before receiving Federal Drug Administration approval. This technology is set to reinvent periodontal surgery as we know it.

Similarly – Cool Scuplting by Zeltiq is a revolutionary non invasive fat freezing treatment which deeply cools and destroys fat cells which are then dispersed over time. We recently trialled this at our clinic in Liverpool UK and we await the results! Non invasive fat treatments are such a great step forward for anyone who kjust has a small stubborn amount of fat to shift no matter how hard they work out!

That’s funny you write about the cold laser therapy and how it hasn’t gone mainstream yet. I bet it will soon. I just wrote a blog post about thermodynamics and cold exposure for fat loss. It is highly controversial but lots of people have had success losing fat because of it!
