The Weight Loss Mindset – Your Key To Long Term Success

There’s a huge difference between people who have a closed mindset and one that’s open and it could be the one thing stopping you from reaching your goals, particularly when it comes to weight loss.

Developing a success mindset is one of the most important things in order to achieve long lasting change. So let’s take a look at a few of the differences and you can make an evaluation on where it is you lie.

When you have a closed mindset you tend to avoid challenges and give up too easily. Even though you want to change, things just seem way to hard and you feel much better off in your comfort zone. You start things but when you don’t see results fast enough, you soon give up and go back into your shell, feeling sorry for yourself.

When you have a success mindset you embrace a challenge. That doesn’t mean it will all go along without obstacles occurring. But when things do occur you find ways to work around them, and strategies to deal with them so you can keep moving forward in a positive direction.

If you have a closed mindset you refuse to be open to listening to what people have to say. You ignore any useful feedback people give you because you are stuck. You also tend to look at any effort you put in as useless because you know you won’t be able to stick to things.

When you have a success mindset you listen, reflect upon your own actions, thoughts and behaviors. Then you try to use it to take small forward steps. You recognize that effort is necessary for growth, because you have the emotional intelligence to know that without it nothing will change.

When you have a closed mindset you are often looking on the outside. Looking at others and feeling threatened, jealous, or envious of their success. You go along thinking you are better and yet…you are still sitting on your butt.

When you have a success mindset the actions of others inspire you. You can see the achievements and find lessons in what they are doing or have done. You can then take that and formulate what works for you.

Can you see from the description above, that if you are stuck in a closed mindset you will no doubt be stagnant and going around in circles. You cannot grow because you haven’t taken a shift in your mindset in order to get out of all that negativity.

On the other hand, if you open your mind, and you can choose to do that, you will start to see changes occurring in your life. You will start to see growth and you will begin to experience success. It all comes back to your method of thinking.

So if you are struggling to lose weight or have been stuck in a repetitive cycle for years, then you need to re-read this article 10 times and reflect on how you can change your thinking, how you can change your mind around!

So correct. If you have and are working on your mindset, you find ways to adapt. Any long term goal takes lots of small course corrections.
