Six Tips for Aging at a Slower Pace
Aging is a part of life. It naturally happens as a result of getting older. The only thing that can really be done about it is slowing it down. If you wish to look and feel younger you have to be willing to participate in a healthier lifestyle. Below are some tips to help you look and feel young again.
#1 – Change your eating habits.
Diet is the number one problem in this country. It is because of poor diet that there are so many horrible diseases that “have no cures†according to most doctors. In reality some of these diseases are even 100% preventable and reversible by making appropriate diet changes. We live in a world of highly processed foods and also highly toxic foods; because our produce is sprayed with pesticides and out dairy and animal products are infused with antibiotics and other chemicals and hormones that the animals are treated with. Simply by switching to an all natural, organic, whole foods, and healthy diet you can change your life and even save it.
#2 – Get up and shake it.
Sitting still doesn’t help slow down anyone’s aging process. Get up and move. You’re not a piece of china that needs to be kept up on high in a safe place. If you want to be young, act young. Get up and move. Exercise, go on adventures, dance, and just flat-out enjoy yourself.
#3 – Keep your mind active.
Maybe sodoku puzzles aren’t for you. Â If not, don’t be afraid to engage your mind with reading, crossword puzzles, or learning new information. Â Is there a musical instrument that you’ve always wanted to learn or master? Â How about learning a 2nd or 3rd language? Â Whatever avenue of learning you pursue, maintaining a natural curiosity for learning just may help keep your mind young.
#4 – Eliminate bad habits.
Smoking, excessive drinking, and using and abusing drugs are all things that cause damage to your body and age you very quickly. Eliminate these habits. You may be addicted to some of these things, but proper nutrition as well as other resources can help you to overcome them and you’ll be healthier and happier for it.
#5 – Sleep the night away.
Getting the proper amount of sleep is vital to youthfulness. You need to get rest so that your body can repair and restore itself from the problems of the day. Exercise is good for the body, but also causes stress on it, so rest is important in sleep as well as switching up your exercise routine each day. By sleeping you allow your body to repair itself as well as your mind. Through sleep you are able to deal with emotions that have been afflicting you in your waking hours, so that during the day you can handle life a little more easily (although sometimes when we don’t try to understand our dreams things can feel worse).
#6 – Drink a lot of water.
Essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants help to clear the body of toxins, but if you are not drinking enough water to flush them out they will be forced to come out through your skin. Many people have skin issues throughout their whole life that simply change or maybe even get worse as they get older. Skin blemishes are the body’s last resort at removing toxins, so flush out your body daily and allow the toxins to come out in a more healthy way.

It is well known that antioxidants are a key factor when talking about ageing process, but which herbs, fruits or vegetables are rich on them? and which one is the strongest one? Well Oregano has more than 40 times more anti-oxidative capacity than apples, but nothing compared to the amount of antioxidants found in astaxanthin, the strongest ever found that can be extracted mostly from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.
