Use that time to read or do other calm activities. This will put your mind at ease and help your body prepare for sleep.

Institute time for self-care

Everyone needs to allocate time to take care of themselves. Whether that’s by reading in a coffee shop, taking long walks, soaking in a bubble bath or structuring time for yoga and meditating, give yourself daily time to ease your mind and body while putting other stressors on hold.

Whether you engage in cardiovascular workouts like running and bicycling, partaking in yoga or Pilates, or working out through the use of other stress reducing exercises, try to work out several times a week to enjoy the greatest effect.

Eat a healthy diet

Work hard, play hard

Your job may be a huge consumer of your time, but it shouldn’t dominate your life. Always make time for a social life and hobbies outside of your work. You may be a hard worker, but you should also work to enjoy the fruits of that labor.

Over time and with some effort, you should be able to reduce the amount of stress you experience in a given day. You may never to live a fully stress-free life, but there’s no need for your current stress to infringe upon your daily routine. Be proactive in simplifying and addressing your current stress levels and you’ll slowly unearth yourself from the pile of stress that’s keeping you down.
