What Is Photo Rejuvenation?

“Photo Rejuvenation” is the term for an advanced skin treatment that utilizes an LED infrared light. According to HairFree, the light is used to stimulate the production of collagen in your skin as well as to increase your skin’s cell activity. The result of a Photo Rejuvenation session is less wrinkles and fine lines and more even toned skin. Results do not take place immediately, but after a few weeks or months of sessions, new moms will see a lot of improvement, including the fading of dark spots, if you have them. Photo Rejuvenation works much faster than facials to enable you to see a real difference.

What Should I Expect?

Here is what to expect after your very first Photo Rejuvenation session. First, you will want to allow at least 21 days to pass before examining your skin for results. 21 days is approximately how long the skin needs to shed its old cells and allow the fresh ones underneath to shine through. Second, look for a reduction of wrinkles and age spots. Third, look for your skin starting to heal more quickly than usual and even developing a better textures. This is because the LED light used in Photo Rejuvenation sessions stimulates cell activity.

What Body Parts Can Benefit?

Pregnancy can cause the skin to droop and develop fine lines, even among younger women. Places where Photo Rejuvenation can be used to make the skin more firm and smooth include the face, neck, hands, and décolletage. Larger areas including the stomach, buttocks, and thighs can also benefit.

How Does the Procedure Feel?

During the procedure, you will not feel any pain, only a gentle warmth. Afterwards, women may experience the feeling of a mild sunburn. This should disappear after two or three hours along with the mild swelling that may accompany it. After the treatment, make sure to avoid exposure to direct sunlight (absolutely no sunbathing!) and wear a sunscreen, preferably a photo protector, at all times.
